The Assinman Nursing and Midwifery Training College (Assinman NMTC) has received a significant boost to its medical training resources, thanks to a generous donation from Mr. Thomas Babbae, an indigene of Assin Fosu currently residing in the United States. The donation, a full-body anatomical simulation mannequin, is expected to enhance practical training for students, providing them with hands-on experience in clinical procedures.

The high-fidelity simulation mannequin is designed to mimic real-life human physiological responses, including breathing, heartbeat, and various medical conditions. This state-of-the-art equipment will allow students to practice and refine their clinical skills in a controlled, risk-free environment before transitioning into real-world healthcare settings.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Mr. Thomas Babbae expressed his deep commitment to improving healthcare education in his hometown. He emphasized the importance of equipping future nurses and midwives with modern tools to help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

The Principal of Assinman NMTC, Mrs. Ophelia Nkrumah Johannes in expressing appreciation, highlighted the impact of the donation on the quality of training the institution offers. “This donation marks a milestone in our journey to becoming a leading institution in nursing and midwifery education. Our students will now have access to advanced clinical training tools that will better prepare them for real-life medical situations. We are immensely grateful for this act of generosity.”

Faculty members and students alike have lauded the initiative, noting that the simulation mannequin will significantly enhance their learning experience. With this addition, Assinman NMTC continues to strive toward excellence in nursing and midwifery education, aligning with its vision of producing highly skilled healthcare professionals.

The institution is calling on more individuals and organizations to support its mission of providing quality healthcare training. Such contributions play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of nurses and midwives who will serve communities in Ghana and beyond.
